Farmers go to evening school

www.chinanews.cn 2006-04-24 17:30:49

40-odd rural residents were attending a lecture on cotton planting
techniques given by technicians in a Uygur village of Xinjiang's Huocheng
County on the evening of Apr. 22. The last ten days of April is the
cotton seeding season in Xinjiang, and the local government has held
evening school lectures on agricultural techniques according to the
season and farmers' needs, in order to create conditions for farmers to
increase yield and income. That has become a "vogue" in local villages
and warmly welcome among Uygur villagers.
