Gigantic chess board completed at campus

A gigantic chess board was completed in Suzhou's No.16 Middle School on
Sept. 24. The chess board is 7.5 meters in length and width and covers an
area of 56.25 square meters. It was learned that in order to arouse
students' interest in chess, this school invested several hundred
thousand yuan in constructing a gigantic chess board in the school and
also ordered big chessmen made of spruce.
