Nearly 1,000 new soldiers from Shanxi and Henan provinces arrived in
Urumqi, Xinjiang and flew to the Yili frontier defense unit in special
civil aircrafts on Dec. 1. Meanwhile veterans retired from the Yili unit
flew to Urumqi by the return aircrafts and would go back home by train
from Urumqi railway station. China's 2005 new soldier and veteran
transport through railroad started recently.
